Who Am I...

If you know the song then you know….

Who am I TODAY is different than even a couple years ago. Today I am more YouTuber, blogger, author, stadium usher and so much more and oh ya also still an attorney at least a little bit!

I have been a practicing California estate and probate lawyer since 1994. In 2021 my amazing wife Kathleen, aka: Kitty Kat, agreed for us to move to Las Vegas, Nevada after our kids graduated high school. They graduated from Granite Bay High School in June of 2021. Life was great living in the greater Sacramento area and has gotten even greater in Las Vegas. Really, I have nothing bad to say about California. It was just time for a change of scenery in life! I have never loved the job of being a lawyer but it has enabled us to live an amazing life, I have met countless interesting people, and I have been able to help thousands of families through that work. It also has given me the option of working less even though I am only in my 50’s. I like work but I have found other work to be more enjoyable… at least if you put the pay aside. My goal is to share our journey through “early retirement” as we define it which, as yet, still includes me working… at least a little… as a California estate lawyer. The journey through that early retirement, meeting new friends, and figuring out what’s in store for the second half of our life! To paraphrase Jim Rome on his Reinvention Project podcast, he says he has lived a great life and succeeded professionally but what’s next? It’s been a great run, as he says, but what’s next? How can the next 20 to 30 years be even better than the last 20 to 30 years? My mind is constantly thinking, as is yours, and I decided to share those random, often rambling, and certainly wandering thoughts… or make that thoughtZ.
